A Little about Us
This non profit organization was inspired by a little orange cat named Tabby. Tabby is a diabetic kitty and was originally owned by an elderly woman who was unable to give her insulin., As a result, Tabby developed a condition called diabetic neuropathy which means that her muscles and nerves were not functioning well and walking became difficult for her. When her owner passed away she was adopted by a loving women who gave her a wonderful home and the care she needed. She started receiving insulin and acupuncture. Her diabetic neuropathy started to resolve. And then tragically, this woman also passed away. Leaving her once again, abandoned. A "friend" took Tabby but refused to give her any insulin. She was left outside and her diabetic neuropathy returned. Then her front leg unfortunately became caught in a leg trap. Her veterinarian found someone to rescue her, but by that time she was septic, comatose, and her diabetes was out of control. At that point, a decision had to be made. Since there was no owner, and she was in serious condition, she would either be euthanized, or someone would have to find donations to help her survive. Her veterinarian made the decision to donate veterinary care so that Tabby could become healthy again. Other caring people starting donating to help out little Tabby and then it became obvious what needed to happen. A non profit was formed to help out other animals just like Tabby.
